Every once in a while, I'll have a student try to bring up the fact that there's no reason in learning something if they won't be using it in the real world.

Let's talk about this real world. The more specifically you can answer the questions, the better.

1) Where do you go after you graduate?
2) What kind of career do you have?
3) How much money will you make?
4) Where will you live?
5) What does a typical day look like?
6) How is the world different than it is today?Mr. Thttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12157220694724025987noreply@blogger.com49tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-611301804338686578.post-72088344289403868472010-11-29T11:34:00.000-08:002010-11-29T11:40:36.097-08:00the beginning (?)That's a weird title for a blog, but hopefully it will make sense by the end of this quarter. This blog is the beginning of a series of 'things', I guess. We'll get to all of that later, though.

For this blog, I want you to think of something that you're good at, not just good, but really good. As long as it's school appropriate, you'll be fine - if it's not, then you need to think of something else. (Sorry, you know who you are.) Once you've got that 'something' in your mind, answer the following questions.

1) What are you really good at?
2) How do you know you're really good at it?
3) How did you get good at it?

I think that's plenty for now. This blog is due Friday, December 3rdMr. Thttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12157220694724025987noreply@blogger.com54
